Please join the members of the Auburndale Police Department as we pay tribute to the men and women of our armed forces who, over the years and through wars and conflicts, have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to the United States of America. These heroes were willing to lay everything on the line four our freedoms and our independence, and so we remember them on Memorial Day. We also want to remind you to use good judgment as you enjoy some extra time off during what is a long weekend for many of us. As you spend time with friends and family, whether you’re on the water or at a Bar-B-Q, please be sure to be safe and smart. If you are going to drink alcoholic beverages, designate a driver – on the water and on the road. Officers will be focusing their attention on our roadways and looking for impaired drivers, so stay safe and stay off the roads if you’ve been drinking. Traffic deaths are up this year in many places across the state and we will be doing our part to positively impact this concerning fact. We want to remind you to, “Drive Sober, or get Pulled Over.” On behalf of the members of the Auburndale Police Department, have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend.

During the recognition of National Police Week, the Polk County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications Center was so kind to stop by for a quick visit and bring donuts to our officers working that day.
