Mom Kristin sent us these photos of 3-year old Jaxon and had this to say: "Thank you to the Haines City Police Department and Officer Ramdeen for making my son's day!" Kristin also advised us that Jaxon turned 3 just this week, while we were all preoccupied with the hurricane... So please also join me in saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAXON! From everyone at HCPD!! 🎈🎉🎁

The Polk County curfew has been lifted! PS - this doesn't mean you can start misbehaving ;)

Community members: Pastor Ivan Burgos at Eastside Baptist Church would like to invite you to his church tomorrow for a BBQ! Anyone and everyone is welcome to visit on Friday, Sept 15th between 1PM-5PM for free hot dogs, hamburgers and cold water! Meet our newest K9 and handler, K9 Tundra and Handler Officer Ryon Green! On Monday they will both start their 6-month training program! Wish them both luck as they begin a new chapter in their career together!

*REMINDER!!* When traffic lights are out at an intersection, you must treat that intersection as a FOUR-WAY STOP!! Most of our traffic lights are still out, and we are doing our best to have officers at the larger intersections. However, we just don't have enough officers to post at every one. Please drive safe and DRIVE SMART!

Before the storm, our officers traveled throughout the city to the mobile home parks to make sure everyone was evacuated (left). They also got out there as early as they could to assess damage and help clear roads (right).

In case you were wondering where our K9's stayed during the storm.... 😍

At this time, the Haines City Police Department cannot honor requests to go to a specific residence or address to check damage for you. We apologize, but we are working hard to prioritize calls for service. We still have many power outages, and the PD is running on generator power. Also, if you private message us and don't get a quick response, please know that we are NOT ignoring you! We are currently experiencing little to no internet, and our posts and messages are not incoming/outgoing. As always, thank you for your patience and continued support!
