Did you know that members of the Sanford Police Department and Fraternal Order of Police-Lodge 140 Sanford FOP 140 are participating in #NoShaveNovember? Members of SPD will be able to sport goatees, stylize their 'mo' mustache, or some will even sport a full beard by the end of the month. What's the reason? The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle. This month there is a particular emphasis on spreading awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's mental health. Thanks to the Sanford FOP, those SPD members who are participating, pledged a donation that will be given towards Cancer Research and the Prostate Cancer Foundation at the end of the month. Females who also wished to participate will be sporting a variety of nailpolish colors to show their support throughout the month of November. Follow our officers #NoShaveNovember progress all month long on our social media pages. If you wish to show your support for the cause, you can pledge a contribution to our #NoShaveNovember page at https://no-shave.org/member/SanfordPD
