Through the years I have been able to collect some of the history associated with the Live Oak Police Department. This is just some of the antique badges and other equipment I have displayed in my office!

Agency wide meeting today. I am proud of the men and women that wear the badge. I also got to give a commendation to Ofc. Daylene Homer, she investigated a burglary and was able to arrest the defendants and solve 2 different incidents at the same location. The extra effort worked out this time.

Citizens Police Academy at the firing range today! This 16th class will graduate tonight. I am so thankful for the attendees and hope that much was learned.

The Live Oak Police Department got the pleasure of building Ginger bread house with some students this morning! The guys loved it and were covered in sugar🎄

The Live Oak Police Department will be hosting “Shop with a Cop” once again this year🎄 20 children will get to shop with a police officer. December 21st at Walmart, this is truly an amazing night!

Suwannee County Emergency Management and the Suwannee County Sheriffs Office now have a citizen alert program. Alert Suwannee is the web page for citizens to sign up and receive notifications. I think this a great way to stay informed sign up today!

Our local Wal Mart donated these cups. If you would like a cup, stop by the station and ask. 1 cup per visit per person until they are gone. 100 or so cups available so first come, first serve and as always Thank You for your support👮🏼‍♀️🇺🇸

Det. Jason Rountree and Community Resource Officer David Shapiro are teaching RAD kids at Westwood Church this week. The program teaches stranger danger and self defense for our children if approached by a stranger. This is a great program and we look forward to these events. If you are interested in hosting this type training, please feel free tho contact David Shapiro for scheduling.

The Live Oak Police Department is saddened by the loss of Master Sgt. Trampas Bishop of the Florida Highway Patrol. The loss of a brother is hard to understand or comprehend, we send our prayers to the family and to the Florida Highway patrol.

A glimpse into 2017's annual teen academy. This event is hosted every year during the spring. It is open to all teens in Suwannee County.

Tonight the teen academy will be processing a crime scene. Thanks to Jeh Howell for the makeup and crime scene, this kids will have a great time and learn all about the law enforcement profession!

This is the car that the department won last year for the agencies traffic enforcement efforts during statewide challenges. It is now marked and will be used in different locations throughout the city to enforce traffic laws and provide safety for the motoring public. Buckle up and please don't text and drive.👮🏼‍♀️
