Cynthia Anderson was convicted for intentionally killing a puppy in 2015. Sometimes the stars align…Today one of our K-9 Officers arrested her for DUI in front of a pet store of all places. Don’t drive intoxicated and definitely don’t kill puppies!

While on patrol last night in Florida Shores one of our officers spotted a suspicious vehicle. After a couple of stop stick hits, a couple of K-9 deployments, and a foot pursuit the crime spree came to an end when they were arrested by EPD in Port Orange. We determined the criminal trio, 1-adult & -2 juveniles from Daytona Beach, were stealing from unlocked vehicles. During the investigation we recovered a fishing rod that was stolen from a boat in Florida Shores. The boat was described as “smaller” and parked alongside a driveway in which a red pick-up truck was parked. We are seeking to return the rod to the owner and put another count of burglary on these thieves. Please lock your vehicles. Contact us if you have any information at 386-424-2000. Thank you for the assistance NSBPD, POPD, SDPD, DBSPD, DBPD and VCSO.
