Holly Hill Neighborhood Watch. Guest speakers Nick Conte (Economic Development Director), and Holly Hill police officers Sergeant Bentley and Investigator Ballentine.

We celebrated our first Holly Hill Police Department Five-O Club commencement. We met for the last five weeks introducing some dynamic speakers and community leaders. Today, Gina’s 6th Street Deli provided lunch and the children loved the subs. A thank you and hug to Gina. Thank you to Officer Jay Brennan of the Ormond Beach Police Department for sharing this highly innovative program. Fist bump Jay. Thank you to all the guest speakers who took a part out of their busy day in order to be a mentor to our children in Holly Hill. Ray Moncelsi (#Publix), Chris Davis (#NASCAR), and Aminata Seye (Miss Bethune Cookman University #BCC), and all the Holly Hill Police Officers. Fist bump. You all rock. Thank you to all of our Holly Hill lunch sponsors – Magga Products, Spindrift Classic Salon, River Lily Bed & Breakfast, and Gina’s 6th Street Deli. Also, thank you to Chick-fil-A for the hook up too. Fist bump. We will soon post some of the kids' answers in a feedback form they completed today. #HollyHillSchool And a big thank you to Sergeant Lauren Broomfield for bringing this program to Holly Hill.

Another awesome meeting with the Five-O Club. We welcomed Aminata Seye - Miss Bethune Cookman University. She spoke to the kids about leadership and making a positive difference in the community. She was awesome. #BCU. Also...a big thank you to River Lily Inn Bed and Breakfast for buying lunch today for the kids.

We had an awesome guest today at the Five-O Club. Chris Davis, Chief Security Officer of Nascar, former FBI special agent, and NFL linebacker, was a guest speaker. The kids loved him. And so did we.

A big thank you to Spindrift Classic Salon for sponsoring tomorrow’s lunch for our Five-O Club located at the Holly Hill School. They are located across the street from Sunrise Park on beautiful Riverside Drive. Stop by and get your “pretty on.”

Officers were guests at Holly Hill School today. Good times.

Week 2 Another great meeting of the Five-O Club. Our guest this week was Mr. Ray of the Holly Hill Publix. He spoke to the kids about the formality of interviewing for a job. Thanks again to Magga Products for lunch.

The Holly Hill Police Department has teamed with the City of Ormond Beach to bring this innovative new program to middle school students at Holly Hill School. The mission of the Five-O Club is to build strong interpersonal relationships between law enforcement and the youth of our community, while providing valuable guidance and imparting important skills necessary for a purpose driven, goal-oriented life. In addition, the program is tailored to combat bullying in all its forms by bringing together children with diverse interests and cultural backgrounds. The program is scheduled once each week during the Middle School lunch service, with food and beverages provided by participating local restaurants. Big Shout Out to Officer Jay Brennan (Ormond Beach Police Department) for sharing your awesome program. A Big Shout Out to Magga Products (Holly Hill) for buying lunch and drinks, and to Chick-fil-A (Ormond Beach) for the hook-ups.

Sergeant Denise Marquez reading to children at Parkside Academy. Raise that hand high.

Sergeant Thomas Bentley (pictured third from the right) was formally awarded the 2017 City of Holly Hill Employee of the Year Award. Great job Tom!

As many of you know, we keep it pretty positive on our FB…but we just had to share this one. On September 28, 2017, Aaron Rogers allegedly beat up his girlfriend leaving her with severe facial injuries. She was transported to the hospital and spent four days there. As our officers responded, Rogers jumped from the second floor and fled the State of Florida. Many of you exchanged Rogers’ picture on FB in an attempt to locate him. The power of social media is an awesome tool. On January 2, 2018, with the thankful help of Detective William Maxwell of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, who is assigned to the USMS Florida Caribbean Fugitive Task Force, the USMS Violent Offender Task Force (North Carolina), and the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, Rogers was found hiding in the basement at “mommy’s house” in Canton, North Carolina. A big shout out to VCSO Detective Maxwell, the men and women of the United States Marshall Service and the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, and to Investigator Andrew Wilmot (HHPD). Job well done!

Tonight we made a very special girl feel like she was the center of the universe. A few special Santas took this young lady on a shopping spree. She loved it!

Congratulations to Officer Andrew Barrett (pictured left) for being awarded the police department’s 2017 Officer of the Year. Awesome job Andrew!

Gen’sayvion Alexander (pictured in the center) was awarded the 2017 Explorer of the Year. Great job and thank you for all that you do.

Good times tonight at the Jingle Jog and the Holly Hill Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Big day tomorrow for the annual parade.

Congrats to Officer Jared Bionelli (pictured on the left) for being the Officer of the Quarter. We are proud of you!

From our family to yours...Happy early Thanksgiving everyone. We are thankful to serve a great community.

Great morning reading to the boys and girls at Parkside Academy.

Our Neighborhood Watch Group having an early Thanksgiving dinner. Yum Yum.
