The city is seeking well qualified individuals with a high degree of personal integrity and a desire to serve our fast-growing community. The starting Salary Range is $14.00 to $16.00 an hour, depending upon experience. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; current Georgia Post Certification; be a citizen of the United States; possess a valid Georgia driver’s license. Background Investigation: A thorough personal, work experience and qualification background investigation is required. A review of the driving record; educational accomplishments and a credit record verification are requested prior to employment. UPDATE There will be a memorial service for Lieutenant Ray Bowman at Heritage Pointe Baptist Church on Saturday, February 10. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Ray was a treasured member of our law enforcement family and we are all devastated by this loss. Ray fought a hard battle with pancreatic cancer and we are comforted knowing that he awoke fully restored and cancer free in the presence of our Lord and Savior this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ray's family and friends and we ask that our community also pray for peace and comfort for them. The City is seeking well qualified individuals with a high degree of personal integrity and a desire to serve in a fast-growing community. Salary range of $48,000 to $52,000 depending upon experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of the Criminal Investigation Division and all related investigative functions. This position is responsible for directing, coordinating, developing and reviewing Criminal Investigation Division operations as well as the discipline, supervision, and evaluation of assigned personnel. This position performs law enforcement duties responsible for protecting life and property and enforcing laws and ordinances. Qualifications: • Must be a least 21 years of age; completion of high school with diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position; current Georgia Post certifications; be a citizen of the United States; possess a valid Georgia driver’s license. • Minimum Five years relevant supervisory experience and experience sufficient to understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems. • Minimum of seven years experience in criminal investigator related capacities • Minimum of 15 years relevant law enforcement experience • Completion of a wide variety of formal training related to criminal investigations and experience with application. Background Investigation: A thorough personal, work experience, and qualification background investigation is required. A review of the driving record; educational accomplishments and a credit record verification are requested prior to employment. A physical and drug test is required.
