For those of you that are wanting to volunteer, Dougherty County Police will have a command post set up at Holly Dr and Roxanna as well as Branch Rd and Sylvester Rd (Hwy 82)! In order to volunteer you must check in with one of these command post! You MUST sign a volunteer sheet that we will have and you MUST show your ID! We need you to sign and show ID for safety reasons! We would also like to thank everyone that has shown up to help!

We would like to say congratulations to the following: Corporal David McVey on his promotion to Sergeant and for receiving the Officer of the year award. Sr. Clerk McKenzie McDonald for receiving the Support Services personnel of the year award. Officers Vernon Nobles, Blake Hall, and Samuel Floyd on their promotion to Corporal. This past weekend the Dougherty County Police Department participated in the "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" benefit for the Lily Pad. All participants completed the "1 Mile" in their red high heels.
