People in the greater Dubuque area are once again receiving calls from someone claiming to be from Alliant Energy. Caller states they are going to shut the electrical service to the residence off if they don’t send money right away. This is a scam and please do not fall victim to it.

If anyone out there in Facebook land has one of these old APD patches in their possession and would be willing to part with it for an APD history project/display we are putting together please message us here or contact us via phone. Thanks. Additionally, if anyone has any photos and/or memorabilia related to the PD, former officers etc. (the older the better), access to those would be appreciated as well.

Good advice for the holiday season from the West Des Moines Police Department.

It has been brought to our attention that someone is identifying themselves as an officer from our department and calling individuals informing them that they have warrants for their arrest. The number the individual calls from shows up as our business number. This is NOT a call from the Asbury Police Department. It is a scam. If you receive a call like this, please contact us and provide us with any information you may have. Thank you.

Please see the information below in reference to a special traffic enforcement program taking place in Asbury this Thanksgiving holiday.

The Asbury Police Department would like to thank the Dubuque Racing Association for their generous grant used for the radar signs that were recently installed throughout the City of Asbury. #dubuqueracingassociation #DRA

The Asbury Police Department extends their thoughts and condolences to the Asbury Fire Department and to the family of Firefighter Austin Hennings. Godspeed brother.
