Newton Police Department News

Today we dedicated 3 local bridges in honor of fallen Newton Police Officers Bobby Barrickman, Dan McPherren and Patrick Richardson. It was an honor to have Bobby, Dan and Pat's families present for the ceremony and we are humbled for the sacrifice that each family has made for our community. Thank you to the Newton Fire Department and Iowa DOT for assisting with the dedication ceremonies.

Thank you to everyone who came out to honor our law enforcement officers. The community support was great and it's an honor for our officers and staff to serve the citizens of Newton.

Honoring all law enforcement officers past and present and remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for your service.

Have a great mother's day!

Few things can be more annoying than answering the phone while you're in the middle of something — and then being greeted by a recording. If you receive a robocall trying to sell you something (and you haven’t given the caller your written permission), it’s an illegal call. You should hang up. Then, file a complaint with the FTC and the National Do Not Call Registry. https://www.ftc.gov/faq/consumer-protection/submit-consumer-complaint-ftc
