Thanks for the challenge East Coast Tae Kwon Do! Officer Meola participated in the "fitness fundraiser." The funds collected will be used to purchase turkey dinners through Hy-Vee, via SEP Food Bank! To beard or not to beard? I mustache you the question. πŸ€” In the months of October through January the men can grow a beard. You may notice the female officers wearing more pink on their uniforms. In addition, all officers can wear Altoona PD pink patches, #pinkpatchproject. Regardless of what the officers decide to wear, they will donate to a cause: breast cancer and/or prostate cancer awareness. *The donation of choice will be announced at a later date.

There has been a social media posting about a suspicious male at the Altoona Walmart on 10/07/17 between 8:00-9:00PM. The post references a male β€œreaching” for a juvenile female. The male in the picture has been identified by police. He was arrested for an unrelated incident at Walmart the same night. Our records show the police were not notified regarding the suspect reaching for the juvenile female. ***If you see or hear something concerning, please do not hesitate to call law enforcement. Officers can investigate suspicious activity and document the disposition.
