Great comments from one of our leaders... "I am proud and blessed to work with a bunch of great people! On Good Friday they worked all day and then seven of them got called back in right when they were heading home to work a couple major cases. A few of them were still there at midnight when I left. A couple of them will be following up all day today on their Saturday off. I saw them pull phone records, interview witnesses and neighbors, review social media, call cab companies, and other top secret stuff all to track down a bad guy. Once they tracked him down, he fought with one of the detectives until help arrived. These behind-the-scene detectives don't always get much credit for the long hours they put in and the menial paperwork and interviews they do every day. It's a team effort with Patrol and Crime Scene Unit folks that make these investigations work. You should know that if you're the rare victim of something really bad happening to you in Des Moines, many dedicated folks are working on your behalf regardless of the hour or occasional holiday." Thanks, Lt.!
