New this year, the Urbandale Police Department has partnered with the Pink Patch Project to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease. The purpose of the Pink Patch Project is to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection and treatment.
During the month of October, which is breast cancer awareness month, Officers will have the option to wear uniforms with the pink patches on the shoulders. The Urbandale Police Department will also be selling the commemorative patches to raise funds for local cancer related organizations that support research, treatment, and education.
Patches are available now for purchase at the Urbandale Police Department Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm at the front counter. The Patches are $10.00 each and only cash or local checks are accepted.
