Thanks to citizen tips, the suspect caught on camera causing thousands of dollars in damage to local homes and businesses by spray painting “Rain” has been taken into custody. 19 year old Adrian Adame of Caldwell has been arrested and charged with felony malicious injury to property. The investigation uncovered a second suspect identified as 27 year old Lucas Perez. Perez has been charged with 7 counts of misdemeanor malicious injury to property for spray painting the moniker “Nuce” on public and private property. Great work by our Street Crimes Unit detectives and the good citizens of Caldwell. #YourPoliceOurCommunity #RainDelay

We spent the morning swearing in two of our new officers. A big CPD welcome to Officer Celina Chittenden and Officer John Watkins. We also introduced our two new community service officers, Rebecca Moe and Bianca Stevenson. Chief Wyant presented Sergeant Doug Winfield with his 20 year gold badge and also introduced our newest K-9 who has yet to be named. CPD and Twin Falls PD have located an arrested a suspect in numerous reports of child enticement. Chad Mclean of Caldwell, has been charged with 1st degree stalking, 3 counts of attempted sexual abuse of a child under 16 and child enticement. He is currently being held in the Canyon County Jail. We are investigating any and all other reports of recent attempted child enticement. We would like to thank our brothers and sisters at TFPD for their help and cooperation in making our communities a safer place to live!!!! #teamwork

Congratulations to Community Service Officer Sharon Rowley for being recognized and receiving the outstanding community service award from the Caldwell Optimist Service Club. Sharon has given 27 years service to the Caldwell community. Presenting the award is retired Chief and City Councilman and Optimist President Chris Allgood.

Today we remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We honor the acts of bravery from all first responders that day and those who continue to serve everyday. #NeverForget
