On Tuesday February 20, 2018, at approximately 9:40 AM a female victim was out for a walk on Ridge Road enjoying the 70 degree weather. In the area of Ridge and Pearl she noticed a man wearing an orange ski mask pulled over his face. He also was wearing a dark colored hoodie. The male then began to follow the female southbound on Ridge Road to the area of Orchard Avenue. He waited until there was a break in traffic at which time he approached the female from behind and restrained her by grabbing her around her chest area. He then attempted to steal property from her as she screamed for help. The male then let go and ran away from the scene. He was located by officers on West 54th Street by Holy Spirit Church. When he was observed by officers he was still wearing the orange ski mask. He was detained and positively identified as the male who attempted to rob the female victim. The male was identified as 19 year old Hevean V. Sunsearay from Cleveland. The male was transported to the Parma Jail and later interviewed by Parma Detectives and admitted to the crime. The male was charged with robbery and the case will be transferred to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and presented to the grand jury for additional charges.
