Three Juveniles Arrested in Connection with Robbery Pattern Offenders: Male, 15 Male, 17 Male, 16 Charges: Male, 15 - One felony count of Robbery – Armed With Firearm One felony count of Theft – Unauthorized Control/>10K<100K Male, 17 - One felony count of Agg Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle One misdemeanor count of Criminal Trespass To Vehicle Male, 16 - One felony count of Robbery – Agg Robbery/Indicate Armed With Firearm Narrative: M/15 and M/17 offenders were taken into custody by 006th District Tactical Officers on January 12, in the 8000 block of South Prairie at approximately 2:00 pm, after they were observed in a stolen vehicle. M/16, who was identified as the offender in a robbery, was taken into custody by 001st District Tactical Officers after turning himself in on January 17, in the 5100 block of South Wentworth at approximately 7:00 pm. As a result of these arrests, Area Central Detectives were able to close numerous incidents referenced in Community Alert P17-1-379CA, where offenders were stealing unattended vehicles and then using them in the commission of armed robberies in the 001st, 002nd, and 018th Districts, specifically JB113632, JB112966, and JA566450. No further information at this time.

The DUI Saturation Patrol will take place Friday, January 19, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 20, 2017 at 3:00 a.m.

West Side Man Charges in Aggravated Attempt Vehicular Hijacking Offender: Jesse Davis, 19 600 Block of North Kedzie Chicago, IL Charges: One felony count of Armed Robbery With a Firearm One felony count of Attempt Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking with a Firearm Narrative: Davis was charged with Armed Robbery and Attempted Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking after he robbed and battered a 64 year old male on the 600 Block of North Albany on January 15, 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m. Davis was the passenger in a ride sharing vehicle when he displayed a handgun and demanded the 64 year old male's personal property and vehicle. Davis struck the victim in the head and took the keys to the victim's vehicle and fled on foot. The offender was later located, at the above address by 012th District Officers, Area Central Detectives, and Area Central Mission Teams, from video surveillance which was obtained. The victim was transported to Norwegian Hospital in good condition. Davis was taken into custody and charged accordingly. No additional details are available at this time. ### Chicago

NEWS RELEASE Five Juveniles Charged in Cell Phone Store Robberies Offender: Male Juvenile, 16 Charges: Three felony counts of Armed Robbery – Other Dangerous Weapon One felony count of Attempt Armed Robbery – Other Dangerous Weapon One felony count of Aggravated Battery – Use of a Deadly Weapon Six misdemeanor counts of Aggravated Assault – Use of a Deadly Weapon Offender: Male Juvenile 16, Juvenile, 15, Male Juvenile, 14, Male Juvenile 14 Charges: One felony count of Armed Robbery – Other Dangerous Weapon Two misdemeanor counts of Aggravated Assault – Use of a Deadly Weapon Narrative: Officers responded to a call of a robbery of a cell phone store on the 0-100 block of E. Harrison St. on January 11, 2018 at approximately 1:00 p.m. and observed five juveniles fleeing on foot. The juveniles were detained and identified as the offenders that entered the store armed with various cutting instruments and threatened employees while removing cellphones from display. There were no reported injuries in this incident. Three of the juveniles were placed into custody on the 1400 block of S. Jefferson St. at approximately 1:38 p.m. and the other two were placed into custody on the 500 block of W. 14th Place at the same time. Additionally, one of the 16 year-old juveniles was identified in connection with two other robberies. On January 3, 2018 offenders entered a cell phone store on the 1800 block of W. Division at approximately 3:54 p.m. and removed merchandise from display. During the incident a 26 year-old male was stabbed in the chest and transported to stroger Hospital in stable condition. On January 9, 2018 the 16 year-old juvenile attempted to force his way through the front door of a cell phone store while armed with a knife and in the company of other offenders. Employees were able secure the door and the offenders fled. The juveniles were charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time and the investigation remains ongoing and potential additional charges are pending. # # #

Woman charged in Department Store Robbery and Theft Offender: T'Keyah A Herbert, 23 2900 Block of South Dearborn St. Chicago, Illinois 60616 Charges: One felony count of Armed Robbery – Other Dangerous Weapon One misdemeanor count of Aggravated Assault - Use of Deadly Weapon One felony count of Retail Theft – Over $300 California Ave – January 13, 2018 Narrative: T'Keyah Herbert was charged in connection to three incidents that occurred between December 26, 2017 and January 10, 2018. On December 26, 2017 Herbert entered a department store on the 0-100 block of S. State St at approximately 8:00 p.m. and grabbed merchandise from the display and fled without paying. On January 9, 2018 Herbert entered the same location at approximately 2:53 p.m. while armed with a stun gun. When confronted by security Herbert left the stun gun behind and fled. On January 10, 2018 Herbert entered a department store on the 1500 block of N. Clybourn at approximately 3:15 p. m. and engaged employees in a verbal argument before displaying a stun gun and threatening employees. Herbert then took merchandise and fled. Herbert was identified in the above incidents and was arrested at the 18th District Station on January 11, 2018 at approximately 6:40 p.m. and charged accordingly. No further information at this time
