Muslim Society Inc (MSI) has a warming shelter open this evening and tomorrow for those in need of one. The village also has warning shelters available. Please check on friends and family during the storm to make sure they are not in need!

District 87, 15, 16 and st. Matthew will all be closed tomorrow due to the incoming snowstorm. Please be safe and avoid driving if you can avoid it!

Due to the upcoming weather, all garbage/recycling pickup will be delayed by one day to Saturday, February 10 per Republic Services.

In anticipation of the pending weather, Republic Services has announced they plan to collect refuse tomorrow, Friday February 9, but anticipate delays in the collection schedule. If the event is greater than anticipated they will cancel collection and reschedule for Saturday, February 10. Please check the Village website for any updates.

In anticipation of winter storm Mateo, Pace advises fixed route and ADA paratransit service passengers to postpone or cancel non-essential trips beginning this evening, February 8, through Sunday, February 11. Pace fixed route and paratransit service will likely experience significant delays due to heavy snow and hazardous driving conditions. For riders who must travel, please dress warmly and be prepared for possible service delays. will have the latest service updates.
