Press Release The Lake Zurich Police Department received a grant to conduct a Roadside Safety Check from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). This is in conjunction with the Memorial Day Campaign, which operates from May 9 – 26, 2014. This program will utilize the strategies of Education, Enforcement and Engineering to encourage voluntary compliance. The Lake Zurich Police Department will be conducting a RSC in the area of Route 12 and Deerpath road on Saturday, May 17, 2014 between the hours of 11:00 PM and 4:00 AM. If this is cancelled due to inclement weather, the make up date will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 between the hours of 11:00 PM and 4:00 AM. The focus will be on enforcing violations with Occupant Restraints, State Licensing Requirements and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and/or Alcohol.
