Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all the dads who are serving and protecting on their special day!

Thank you Officer Steve Sandacz and Officer Tim Goodwin for representing Round Lake Beach PD at the funeral of fallen Milwaukee PD Officer Charles Irvine Jr. Rest easy brother, we got it from here.

Today is National Flag Day! On June 14, 1777 the first Congress signed a resolution that finalized the Flag's design. Then in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed June 14th as Flag Day. #redwhiteandblue

Officer Steve Sandacz took some time out from patrolling to speak with one of our youngest citizens. Ofc. Sandacz was a little too big to take a ride on her scooter, but she loved her sticker badge. Thank you to her mother for sharing this awesome photo with us! Great job, Ofc. Sandacz!

This morning, Commander Barr proudly represented our department in the Round Lake Beach leg of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run benefitting Special Olympics Illinois. He received the torch from the Lake Villa Police Department on Route 83 in front of our Walmart and handed it to the Grayslake Police Department at Route 83 and Shorewood. He was accompanied by his dog. Every year, hundreds of law enforcement officers carry the Flame of Hope across our state, where it ends with the Special Olympics games in Normal, IL on June 15th.

Remembering D-Day, and how this one day changed the course of history.

Itโ€™s like a copโ€™s very own Christmas!! Happy Donut Day everyone!!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Chicago Firefighter Juan Bucio, who passed away responding to a call of a person in the water, and to our brothers and sisters in red on the Chicago Fire Department.

Preparing for our Memorial Day ceremony here at Cedar Lake and Clarendon.

God Bless our troops, past, present and future. Without their sacrifices we would not have this great country. Freedom is not free.
