Cicero roads are slick and hazardous!!!! Please stay home!!

If anyone knows this individual please call the Cicero Police Department 317-773-1282 Thank you

The weather is expected to turn into ice and snow overnight. If you don’t need to be out stay home, give plow trucks a chance to clear the roads. If you can move your vehicles from parking in the street would help plows remove snow from those areas not having to drive around them. Also, if you have to go out make sure you clear your windows completely before driving. Pretty important to see where you are driving.

Please bring your pets inside it’s dangerously cold outside.

We would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. If you intend on consuming alcohol while celebrating please don’t drive. Have a plan in place such as calling a sober friend, cab or other means of transportation. There are many options to chose rather than driving intoxicated.

****Arrest**** Cicero police have arrested a Cicero man in connection with a burglary of a residence. Investigation by the department led them to a vacant residence where they found an open door and heard someone inside. The suspect closed, locked and barricaded the door and refused to come out. After efforts to have the suspect surrender failed, officers forced entry and eventually found the suspect in the crawl space. The suspect, identified as Wesley Collier, age 36, was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with one count of burglary and two counts of theft. The investigation continues, and anyone believing they have information relevant to the investigation should contact the Cicero Police Department. Cicero was assisted by deputies from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, along with their K-9, and the Arcadia Police Department. The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Any further inquiries should be made to the Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Thank you Kinsley for stopping to see us over the holidays! We hope you had a great Christmas.

Please stay off the lake and ponds! Always presume the ice on ponds and lakes are not safe to walk on. Especially around the public docks located at Red Bridge Park and across the lake at the public docks by the old Lazy Frog. They have installed water movers to prevent the water from freezing. This prevents damage to the docks which are expensive to repair. Be safe!!

****NOTICE**** Please be advised that the fine for parking citations has changed from 5.00 to 10.00. There will be 15.00 added to the fine if not paid within 10 days. We understand on occasion residents have extra guest during special events and Holidays. Please call 317-984-3648 to make arrangements. If after business hours call 317-773-1282 to speak to the on duty officer. Also, during inclement weather and you live where parking is permitted on the street. It would be helpful to the guys plowing the streets if you could move your vehicles to your driveway. Thank you.
