Happy Halloween! Just a reminder that Trick or Treat, as well as the Haunted Police Station hours will be from 6:00 to 8:30 pm tonight. Be Safe!

Congratulations to the 2017 Citizen's Academy graduates! Participants attended eight formal training sessions throughout four weeks instructed by Brownsburg Officers covering anything from criminal law to crime scene processing. We thank them for their interest and participation.

Lt. John Depinet was recognized by Chief Grimes for 20 years of service today. Lt. Depinet has performed outstanding work for this department over the years and has been quite instrumental in its modernization and progress. Congratulations and thank you John!

At Tuesday night's Board of Police Commission meeting conditional offers of employment as full-time officers were extended to Elizabeth Nester and Daniel Lawson (seen below discussing the next step with Chief Grimes). Congratulations and welcome!

At last night's Board of Police Commission meeting (L to R) Sgt. April Hyde, Officer Jeremiah Jones and Officer Corey Sears received the Award of Distinguished Service for their first responder medical aid efforts that essentially saved a person's life recently. Congratulations and well done!

Green Street (SR 267) is closed from Main Street (US 136) to Franklin Street for at least one hour. Motorists are still able to go East and West on Main Street (US 136).

267 Shut Down Due to Accident - The roadway is completely shut down from Tilden to Greenacre and will be for 5 to 6 hours. Please find an alternate route.

Low Flying Plane - There will be a low flying red and white plane in the triangle area of SR 267/CR 700N/I 65 starting Friday for about a week spreading grass seed.

Because of the weather cutting the event short, we still have some kindness rocks that had been left to dry. If you wish to pick up your child's kindness rock they will be at the police department.

Unfortunately Mother Nature cut our event a little short but thank you to all who came out to the 2017 Night Out Against Crime! We hope you enjoyed it and plan to come back next year!

As always, we will have free document shredding and the Indiana Blood Center bloodmobile. Please come out and enjoy a fun evening with your local police department!
