Thank you Care to Change, Fairbanks, Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, The Willow Center and Parents of Addicted Loved Ones for coming and sharing your expertise and helping so many families. The evening was filled with lots of beneficial information given by compassionate and caring professionals.

A bicycle was picked up from the park last night. It is at the department for safe keeping. Please call with a description of the bike if you believe this may belong to you.

We would like to welcome Kendal and Karter to Pittsboro. They were recently adopted by Kristen and Ronnie Mitchell. They are sporting their Paw Patrol hats. Give us a call in about 20 years. We may have a job for you!!!

This is a reminder what reserve officers risk volunteering to wear the badge. Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Christopher Lawton's family, friends, co-workers and community. We also thank our Pittsboro Reserve Officers for everything they do for the Pittsboro Community.

It has been reported to police that an individual has been spotted walking up to vehicles and trying to access unlocked doors. Police will be patrolling but take all proper precautions making sure your vehicles are locked and personal items are not left inside your vehicle. If you see something call dispatch non-emergency at 317.839.8700 or 911.

There's a meeting tonight in Avon. You Are Not Alone.

Over the next couple of days, PIttsboro Officers will be assisting Boone County law enforcement agencies with coverage as their officer's say goodbye to Deputy Pickett. We will still be covering Pittsboro, however, response times may be effected. Thank you for your support as all officer's process this loss.

Mark your calendars and plan on joining us for our next town hall meeting. Answers, Hope and Healing. Learn what resources are available in our community for substance abuse, mental health and family support. Wednesday, March 21st from 6-8 PM at the town hall. Light refreshments will be served courtesy of the Willow Center and P.A.L. (parents of addicted loved ones).

A few Pittsboro residents have received phone calls asking for them to donate $ to the "police alliance". We are not familiar with this group and we would suggest not making donations to this organization. If anyone from the "police alliance" would like to contact Chief Patterson, she would be more than happy to speak with you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Boone County Sheriff's Deputy Jake Pickett's family, friends, co-workers and community. Deputy PIckett was shot and killed in the line of duty today in Boone County while serving a search warrant. All suspects have been located.
