DON'T BE A VICTIM! Since January of this year, our Community has experienced multiple auto thefts. As of this date 24 auto thefts have been reported; all but 1 were reportedly unlocked and keys left in the vehicle. The Garden City Police Department is asking everyone in the community to be vigilant and not make themselves an easy target. Some helpful tips include: locking your vehicles, don’t leave valuables inside and in plain view, and park in well-lit areas. As always, if you see something, say something. The Garden City Police Department is pleased to announce that Communications Training Officer Madeline Christner has been promoted to Communications Supervisor. Supervisor Christner joined the GCPD in July of 2015. Since and her hire date she has served the department and Community as Communicator and Communications Training Officer.

The Garden City Police Department is pleased to announce that Explorer Andrew Unruh and Explorer Brecken Ralston have been promoted to Explorer Sergeants. Explorer Unruh and Ralston are the first ever promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Garden City Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer program that began in 2017.

The City of Garden City has closed Fulton from Pennsylvania to Spencer for road work. This should take 1 -2 weeks.
