Notice: Due to inclement weather, Mission Court trials are cancelled tonight. Please call 913-676-8325 during regular business hours for information on rescheduling.

Weather update from Waste Management: Update 11:30 am Thursday 1/11. Please be advised, as the temperature drops the moisture has solidified into ice, our operations team has decided to pull all collection vehicles off the roads in order to maintain safety. Collection started at 7 am, so many homes have been serviced. For the remaining homes that have not been serviced, collections will resume tomorrow. Homes regularly scheduled for Thursday collection, that were not collected today, will be collected tomorrow. Homes with a regularly scheduled collection day of Friday will now be collected Saturday this week. Trash collection will be delayed one day the following week as well (January 15-20) in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

City offices will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 15. Please call 9-1-1 in case of emergency.

Notice: Major leaking from a broken pipe was reported this morning north of Johnson Drive at Outlook. Public Works crews treated the area for safety and WaterOne crews were on site by 11 a.m. working on the repair. Please use caution when traveling near the area.

Christmas Tree Pick-Up: Waste Management will collect Christmas trees this week and the first two weeks in January. If the tree is over 6ft. in length, it needs to be cut in half or smaller sections. Collection will be delayed one day this week and next.
