Police Officer, Beloit Police Department
The City of Beloit is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Under the supervision of the Chief of Police and Patrol Sergeant, the Police Officer protects the life and property of citizens within the City of Beloit by enforcing all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. The Police Officer performs preventative patrol duties, enforces traffic laws, investigates crimes and accidents, and provides citizen assistance.
KLETC certification is preferred but not required.
TYPE: Full Time
Patrol Officer pay range $16.14-$22.98, based on experience and qualifications.
*Must be 21 years of age at time of hire
*Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
*Must be able to pass background investigation
*No Felony convictions
*No Domestic Violence charges
*Candidates recommended for hire will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, polygraph, psychological, and physical exams.
*Must be willing to work rotating 12 hr shifts, weekends and holidays.
