On 02-15-2018, Erie Police Department took a report for a phone scam from *Publishers Clearing House*. The scammer wanted the person to go to a local Wal-Mart and get a *Receipt* from the customer service desk. They asked for the persons cell phone number, so they could track the person. An officer was able to get to the residence before the person finished the scam call. An officer spoke with the person and was not able to get clear answers for the questions asked. The phone number did not show on Caller ID. The person got angry with the officer on the phone and became threatening. The Erie Police Department asks the citizens of Erie to notify the police department if they receive calls as such. *Reminder to all* DO NOT send money to someone you do not know. Have a great day.
