It's that time of year, and our department is once again hosting a New Year's Eve gathering that nobody should want to attend... The Chesterfield Police Department wishes you a very Happy & SAFE New Year! As mentioned here repeatedly - please… DON’T drink and drive! There are many options for transportation available to anyone who has too much to drink! If you plan to drink while celebrating the holidays, designate a driver, arrange for a taxi, call a friend or family member, or get an Uber. There’s no reason to ruin a family’s holiday with the loss of a loved one, due to a drunk driving accident. We will have extra patrols on the roads through the weekend and New Year holiday.

The Chesterfield Township Police Department would like to congratulate Chief Doug Charbonneau on his retirement! Having joined the Chesterfield Township Fire Department in 2004, Doug has served the past 7 years as the Fire Chief. The Chesterfield Township Supervisor has declared a 'Snow Emergency'. Per the township's snow emergency ordinance, please remove any parked cars from the street, so that road crews can make their way through. Provided is a link to the ordinance for your review.

If you're out on the roads doing last minute shopping or traveling to family and friends, be very careful! The recent snowfall has made roadways extremely slippery. In fact, here are some photos showing a recent snow related accident involving one of our own patrol cars!

The Chesterfield Township Police Department would like to express our gratitude to the many families, individuals, organizations and local businesses who have supported our department this holiday season and throughout the year! From the overwhelming support of people stopping by our station to bring food and gifts, to the continued generosity of Mr. & Mrs. Riehl - it is greatly appreciated! YOU are all what make Chesterfield Township great!

****UPDATE**** Stella has gone home to her family! This little black lab mix marched right up to a door on Jared Ct. to ask the nice homeowners for help finding her family. She is about 35 - 40 pounds. She has no collar nor tags and we were unable to find a microchip. She is an absolute darling; quiet and calm, she wags her tail at anyone who comes by while waiting for her family to come get her.
