This darling little terrier mix was found on Mallard on Friday the 23rd. He is an unaltered male. He's very well groomed but without a collar or microchip. He'd really like to go home! The following letter was sent to ABHS parents by Anchor Bay High School today: Dear Anchor Bay High School Parents, Today at Anchor Bay High School, after the school day started we received information from OK2SAY that there was an anonymous report made of a threatening statement. As is the case with all threats this is taken very seriously. A full investigation by law enforcement is in process with a threat assessment lead by Saint Clair County Deputy Larry Fajardo. We will be releasing students early today after 3rd hour. We will provide more information as the investigation unfolds. Maintaining a safe and orderly environment is always our first priority. Making inappropriate comments or posts, even if the child is joking, are taken very serious by the school district and law enforcement. Please take this opportunity to talk to your son or daughter about the importance of avoiding making these type of statements.

On 01/25/2018, 18:28 hrs. a B/M entered the Chesterfield Target located at 51400 Gratiot Rd. The suspect selected $190.00 in baby formula and placed the merchandise in a backpack. The suspect then proceeded past all points of purchase with the merchandise. The same suspect committed two additional retail frauds of formula on 02/09/2018 at the Chesterfield Target store taking approx. $140.00 in formula. [ 83 more words ]

Cadets from the L'Anse Creuse Frederick V. Pankow Air Force JROTC performed a United States flag retirement ceremony today at the Chesterfield Township Library. This is the second time they have been asked by the library to honorably change out the flag. The Chesterfield Township Police Department would like to commend this dedicated group of young people for their commitment and congratulate them on their achievements. It is great to see such a positive program making an impact on our community!

Chesterfield Twp. Police are investigating a malicious destruction of property from the Chesterfield Market located on Gratiot at Carriage Way. On 03-03-2018 (Saturday) around 9:25 PM a white male walks to the Chesterfield Market parking lot from a car parked in an adjacent lot. The male looks around, then throws a bottle through the front store window. The male then runs back to the adjacent lot and headlights can be seen pulling away. ****UPDATE**** The dog is now in the care of Macomb County Animal Control. They may be reached at 586-469-5115 option 5. This dog was found on Sutton Rd. on the evening of February 22. He is an unaltered male and looks to be a Yorkshire terrier / beagle mix. He has two collars but no tags and, unfortunately, no microchip. He is super friendly but loudly protesting his imprisonment! At approximately 2:10 am (Sunday 02/18/2018) 911 callers began reporting an accident on east bound I-94, just east of M-59. Chesterfield Township Officers and Fire units located the victim (sole occupant) and his heavily damaged vehicle off the roadway, beyond the ditch, and at rest against a tree. Chesterfield Township Fire units extricated the unresponsive victim from the driver’s seat of his vehicle and he was conveyed to McLaren Macomb Hospital where he was pronounced deceased upon his arrival. This gorgeous dog was found wandering on Pat St. near Briar Town Blvd. He appears to be a husky mixed with greyhound. He is unaltered and does not have a microchip although he is wearing a blue collar with an old Macomb County ID tag. He's a little shy but very sweet once you hand over a few treats! He's already at Macomb County Animal control so please call 586-469-5115 if he is yours or for adoption inquiries.

Friday Feb. 09, 2018: Chesterfield Township has declared a 'Snow Emergency'. Per the township's snow emergency ordinance, please remove any parked cars from the street, so that road crews can make their way through. Provided is a link to the ordinance for your review.

On Friday (02/02/2018), at approximately 4:30am, Chesterfield Township Officers responded to the “Speedy Q” gas station located at 37750 26 Mile Road, where the dayshift manager (opening up the business) discovered that the business had been broken into overnight. Officers at the scene observed the front door glass smashed in and determined that the entire display case of scratch-off lottery tickets had been taken from inside the station. [ 302 more words ]

Snuggle bug alert!!! This female lab mix was found at 21 Mile and Jefferson. She has a pink collar but is not micro-chipped. She appears to have had puppies a little while ago. It was hard to get a photo because she just wants to be held. She is sweet, quiet and well behaved. Please call 586-949-2322 option 2 if she is yours. Happy, friendly beagle / pointer mix? He was found an Au Lac on Saturday. He is neutered but not micro-chipped and has no tags on his absolutely awesome Nightmare Before Christmas collar. He does not want to be here. He told me he wants to go for a run and investigate all of the interesting smells before the snow covers them again. If he is yours, please call 586-949-2322 option 2.
