This Saturday night!

Last year Officers Martinez and Marek stumbled upon this tree on accident while responding to a call. It was filled with the names of fallen Officers and K-9's in 2016 in their honor. This year our amazing citizens decorated another tree to honor the fallen Officers and K-9's of 2017 and brought it to our Station Lobby for everyone to see! Each bulb is hand painted with names, EOW and State. Last years bulbs were taken to DC to be given to the families, which is also the planned destination of these bulbs for next year. Thank You!

The Police Department excited to announce that some of our own Officers will be participating in the 2018 Police Unity Tour! The Police Unity Tour’s motto is: “We Ride for Those Who Died” and we raise awareness about America’s fallen officers. We hope you will support the Officers by making a donation to their page today. Today in the United States, some 900,000 law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for the safety and protection of others. But that protection comes at a very high price. A few sobering statistics: Every 58 hours a peace officer is killed protecting our families and communities Each year, there are over 58,000 assaults More than 5,000 injuries on law enforcement officers On average, 146 officers are killed in the line of duty each year The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial honors America’s fallen law enforcement heroes who have died in the line of duty. Their mission is to tell the story of America’s law enforcement officers and make it safer for those who serve. Our Officers participation in the Police Unity Tour helps sponsor the Memorial and its programs like the Officer of the Month Award, Recently Fallen Alert notifications and other special projects. With every dollar that they raise for the Police Unity Tour, they are doing their part to honor our nation’s law enforcement officers. Please help by supporting their fundraising efforts with a donation! Thank you for your generous support!
