*****************UPDATE************ Two suspects responsible for a month long string of garage B&E’s and car larcenies are in custody. A Zeeland Police Officer on patrol observed three recently stolen bikes in front of a residence. This led to further investigation. The two adult suspects are believed to be involved in fifty to seventy larcenies in the Zeeland/Holland area. Their names are being withheld until their arraignment.

We would like to remind you to continue to lock the doors to your vehicles, residences, and garages. Leave porch lights on. We are continuing to get larcenies from unlocked vehicles. Please call and report any suspicious vehicles or persons in the area. If someone broke into your property please call on that as well. If we don't know about it we can't put a pattern together. We are continuing to do extra patrol. Thank you!

****ATTENTION****** We have taken several larceny from motor vehicle complaints over the last couple of days. Please remember to be vigilant in locking the doors to your house and vehicles. Please call if you have information or see somebody suspicious. Thank you!

****FOUND PROPERTY****** Found Apple iPhone 5s. Turned in after being found on the ground after owner helped remove vehicle from the snow. Please contact our department to identify and provide access code for ownership verification. Thank you.

****Attention****** This weekend Zeeland Fire Department personnel will be out in the neighborhoods shoveling out fire hydrants that are buried in the snow. If you have one in front of your house please help out and shovel it out for them. Thank You!

Just a friendly reminder not to message us through Facebook to make a report, complaint or to inform us of something suspicious that is occurring etc.... Our page is not monitored 24/7 and you may not get an immediate response. It is used for general questions. If you need police service please call 911 or the non emergency number 1-800-249-0911. Quite often things that are being reported are out of our jurisdiction. An Ottawa County dispatcher can send the correct agency. We just want to make sure that you all get the best service possible. Thank you for understanding.

We wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year! Please think before you drink!

With the very cold winter weather here please stay safe and respect Mother Nature! Dress appropriately for the weather, keep children and pets inside when it is too cold and always be prepared incase you get stranded. Below you will find some more common safety tips. Stay safe Zeeland!
