Zeeland Police Department News

With the hot weather of summer rolling in please remember not to leave your kids and pets in a hot vehicle.

***ATTENTION***** We have been having complaints and problems dealing with Pokemon Go players in the Zeeland Cemetery. We know that the gamers do not mean to cause harm however they are causing a nuisance to the employees trying to maintain the upkeep. Zeeland City does have an ordinance 14-83 (5) that prohibits people from conducting activities not normally conducted in a cemetery. If caught you could be cited with a civil infraction. Vehicles driving thru that are not related to normal cemetery visitation are also prohibited. Please respect the memory of those buried there. Thank you!

****SAVE THE DATE******* On June 12, 2018 10a to 12p at Zeeland Police Department. ZPD invites you to come meet our new Chief of Police Tim Jungel! Chief Jungel will be available to drink coffee with and share a story or two. We look forward to seeing you there!

***BE AWARE OF PHONE TEXTING SCAM****** There is a porn phone scam that is going around that we want to make you aware of. A text is received advising that a girl named Niki who lives on your street is looking for relations. This is a massive text scam that is being sent out randomly hoping that someone will contact the person and then eventually some money will be requested for services. We recommend that you delete the text immediately and DO NOT RESPOND TO IT!. Thank you.

Thank you all who came out to join us for The Day of The Young Child! What a great turn out!
