Please do not leave any valuables visible in your vehicle while parked and unattended. This would include but not be limited to your cell phone, wallet, purse, laptop computer, Ipad/Ipods, GPS, etc... It is best to take them with you after you park your vehicle. If for some reason you cannot. Please secure them in your trunk. Thieves look for these items to steal as they walk by your vehicle.

With temperatures getting colder please remember not to leave your car running with the keys in the ignition to warm it up. It becomes an easy target for car thieves.

Two people were arraigned today on various charges related to the Hit & Run accident that occurred in Hamtracmk where a 5yr old child was struck. Due to hard work from officers/detectives and public response the driver and passenger were identified and arrested. The child is still in critical condition. Our prayers are with him and his family .

We had a 5 yr old boy stuck by this vehicle today in the Zinow/Fleming area. The vehicle fled the area. If anyone has any information please call the Hamtramck Police Station. Witnesses stated that the driver was a B/M.
