Come Join the Lincoln Park Police Department next Thursday February 22, 2018 for "Coffee with a Cop". A meet and greet with some of our officers and command, plus our new K-9 Sarge and ofc Harris at the local McDonald's at 2106 Dix. This will be a chance to meet some officers and ask any questions you may have in a relaxed atmosphere.

A Big Thank you to Adham Mallah from Adam's Pharmacy 1373 Dix who came to the PD today and bought every mug we had in stock; we are SOLD OUT. Thanks to Adham's generosity the proceeds will go towards Community Policing Events we have planned throughout the year.

Attention Attention SNOW EMERGENCY is in effect starting Friday February 9th at 7AM unitl Saturday February 10th at 4:30 PM. All vehicles must be removed off the streets or be subject to citations and or be towed. Thanks to all for your cooperation.

The Miller family was presented with a plaque of appreciation from the Police Department at the City Council meeting on Monday. So A huge Thank You to Miller's for all they have done for the Lincoln Park K-9's and their continues support.

Thank you Tracy Spader, who put together our K-9 Buddy Bags and delivering them for Sarge & Max. A special Thank you to the Miller family for the donation to pay for them. We appreciate all your help.

Officer David Belkanp was named Policeman of the Year for 2017 by the Lincoln Park VFW Post 552 by Chairman Bowens. Great job Dave and keep up the great work.

Last night at the City Council meeting our new K-9's (Sarge & Max) were officially sworn in. Congratulations to them and their proud handlers Ofc Harris & Parker.

Last week Pack 1364 from Licnoln Park went to the Police Department for a tour of the station and also got to meet K-9 Kato and Sgt Noe.

Sgt Don Mandell retired after 25 years of service with the Lincoln Park Police Department. Congratulations Sgt Mandell and enjoy your retirement and all you have to come. You will be missed.

On December 27, 2017 the Lincoln Park Police Department held their 3rd annual Cops Skate, where the kids skate for free and got a free lunch. We gave away 8 new bikes and numeras other prizes, along with 4 family meals from Chapatwala family McDonald's (Thanks Dawn Harris). Even Santa & Mrs. Clause made it by along with several of the officers and K-9 Kato. There were a lot of first time skaters that came out and a few spills as well, but all in all it was a fun day!!

Denise Wayne and team from Vibra Hospital dropped off some goodies for the guys. Thank you so much we all enjoyed it.

Secret Santa made it by Lafayette school to help them out. Keep up the good work Lafayette school.

Lincoln Park CERT/ Neighborhood watch / CPW members Bryan King & Dennis Anderson were given Volunteer of the year awards last week for 2016 by the police deapartment. Congratualations guys and thank you for making Lincoln Park a better community and for always being there when needed. There were a lot of awards earned, thank you to all our volunteers and keep up the good work. It was a nice Christmas party as well at Fantasy Land.

If the kids are driving you crazy get them out of the house next week and come join us for some fun, for our 3rd annual Cops Care Skate on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 from 12:00p - 3:00p.

Last Friday Some officers from the police departement went out with Secret Santa (Elf 32-A & 32-B) as they passed out several $100.00 bills to people, who just needed some cheering up or a little extra help around the holidays. It was a great time and to see the joy and appreciation on their faces is priceless. This is the 10th year Secret Santa has done this, Thank you.

Last Saturday Mya and Brendan were surprised by Santa & Mrs Claus, Goodfellows and Lincoln Park Police, who dropped off some presents early, because Mya will be at some appointments during Christmas.

Today Chief Watters' and Lieutenant Kolakovich had the pleasure of shopping with Monica and Dominic (I apologize if I have spelled your names wrong). Again Denise and Patti from Meijers hosted the shopping spree. And a Big Thank You to the 3 random Meijers shoppers who saw what we were doing and insisted on helping out; Lisa bought gifts for the children out of her own pocket and 2 shoppers who wished to remain anonymous donated $200.00 out of their own pocket. What a wonderful morning shopping with the children and meeting the random shoppers with the Big Hearts. Thank you Denise and Patti for letting us shop at your store.

Earlier this week Sergeant Mueller was The Flower Police and randomly chose a few individuals to brighten their day with Roses. It was really cool to see thier faces lighten up!!! A Special thank you to the City Attorney Edward Zelenak & Amelia Zelenak, who came up with the great idea and donated the flowers to the police department.

Thank you to everyone that stopped by the police station to drop off "Toys For Tots" It is an honor to be part of this program.

Thank you to Goch & Sons Towing and Kevin who dropped off a couple platters of cookies yestured.. They were good and guys love cookies.
