Sharon stopped by the PD today and brought some brand new stuffed animals, books, and Christmas ornaments that Sam Henderson collected over the years but never opened. We had a lovely visit and the PD will put the donations to good use. Thank you so very much.

Last night the Lincoln Park Exchange Club presented Officer Vince Weir from the police department and Lt. Bob Wright from the fire department with officer/Fire fighter of the year awards, which were both nominated by their departments for outstanding work. Deputy Chief Joe Lavis was also awarded the Book Of Golden Deeds award. Great job guys!

Last night the Lincoln Park Meijers spondered night #1 with Shop with A Hero, even the Grinch showed up. Not sure who had more fun the officers and firefighters or the kids? Thanks Patti and Denise and looking forward to doing it all over again tomorrow night.

Members from the Lincoln Park Police Department are also adopting 6 Lincoln Park families and they will be provided food, clothing and Christimas presents through private donations from our officers and personnel. If anyone is interested in making a Goodfellows donation they can do so at the Police Dept. Donations can be monetary, nonperishable foods, new toys, or clothing.

This morning the Lincoln Park Police Command Union presented Goodfellows with a check for $500.00 so no child will go without a Christmas. Goodfellows will be out collecting donations the next 3 weekends and if you see officers out in uniform they are donating their own time to assist with Lincoln Park Families that are struggling this year to make ends meet.

The PD stopped by Bakers Gas ,1300 Howard St Lincoln Park MI today to thank them for their continued support. We also presented the staff with an appreciation plaque and without their generous donations throughout the year we would not be able to have our Summer Picnic or Blood Drives.

The PD stopped by Meijers 3710 Dix, today and presented Denise and Patti with a plaque for their continued support with our Community Policing Events and we look forward to seeing you next week at the Shop with a Hero event you are sponsoring!!!

There will be a Police Auction on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at City Towing (1785 Southfield, Lincoln Park, MI). Viewing starts at 9am and bidding at 10am.

The police department was invited to the Masonic Temple #539 in Lincoln Park on the 29th for their trunk -or-treat, which was a fun night. Thanks for the invite.

The PD stopped by Dillon's today to drop off blankets and socks for his drive to assist homeless Veterans. It is always a pleasure to see you Dillon and we hope our contributions help you make your goal.

What a wonderful Halloween Parade!!!So many wonderful costumes. Too bad Halloween only comes once a year.

The Lincoln Park Skating Center invited the Police Department and Chase from Paw Patrol to pass out some halloween safety tips over the weekend. Thanks Cindi it was a lot of fun.

Sgt Mueller was invited to the Knights Of Columbus over the weekend to hang out with the kids and talk about halloween safety. There were some cool costumes.

Dillon is at it again helping all the people he can. Dillion is having a Blanket & Sock drive for the homeless Veterans. They would like to have any donations by November 5, 2017 and they will be given out on Novermber 7th, 2017 at the VFW District 4. You can drop off blankets and socks at the Lincoln Park Police Department or 1335 Richmond in Lincoln Park. Let's all pull together and help Dillon out this youg man is doing good things for good reasons. Keep up the great work Dillon!!!

Thank you to the Chapatwala Family for letting the staff at LPPD work at your McDonalds (2106 Dix) and donating proceeds to support our community events. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support this event. A Big Thanks to the McDonalds Staff who gave us a crash course in the fast food business. LPPD really enjoyed working with all of you and we are looking forward to doing this next year.

On 10-19-17 at 1605 Fort St community leaders participated in a discussion on the ongoing drug addiction/opioid problem. More discussions are being planned for the near future. Thank you to Judge Clifton for inviting LPPD to particpate in this informative discussion.
