Seeing that this is not Churchill, Manitoba, Canada...and we don’t have any Polar Bears..it’s quite ok to lock your car doors..In fact, we strongly encourage you to..Especially if you want to keep your possessions secure.
Still time to get tickets...
For years there has been a rumor circulating that all police officers eat doughnuts. We would like to take this time to set the record straight..While we can’t speak for all police agencies...We do! They are delicious..that is all.
There is nothing funny about school shootings, or threats against schools in general. Parents please talk with your children about the possible consequnces of making such threats. Right now there are 3 young men, in Utica, South Lyon, and now Chippewa Valley Schools facing some very serious charges for doing this very thing. We understand that young people make mistakes, however, somethings will not be tolerated.
If the IRS phone scams weren’t enough, they have now resorted to sending out this official looking letter. If you have ever received a letter from the IRS, you’ll immediately recognize that this isn’t one. The most blaring red flag is the line that offers a reduced settlement. The IRS wants all of their money. If you get one of these letters, do not send any personal information or money.
We don’t think parents should be terrified, but we do want you to be informed. Here are a few apps you should be aware that your children may be using: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/5-apps-every-parent-needs-to-know-about-according-to-experts_us_5a95972de4b036ab0142f50d

Happy Tuesday everyone!! A whole lot of rain overnight and more on the way. There is fairly deep water over the road on Wick between Vining and Wickham, and also under the bridge at Middlebelt and 94. Be careful!! On the bright side, we don’t have to shovel rain.
Happy Sunday!! If you plan on getting out and about this morning, the light dusting of snow has the roads a little slippery. Be careful!!
That thick stuff, thats kind of hard to see in..that’s fog. Be careful navigating it, you may not see that pedestrian until it’s too late.
The Romulus Police Department expresses our deepest condolences to the Family of Officer Darren Weathers and the entire Detroit Police Department. Rest well sir, we have it from here.
The City of Romulus will be under a snow emergency from 9:00 A.M 02/09/2018 until further notice. Please remove vehicles from side streets and roadways or risk having your vehicle ticketed and towed.

We have become aware of the circulation of an extremely disturbing video involving the exploitation of a young child. The child in this video has been identified and the proper authorities have been made aware of its existence. If anyone has sent you this video via any social media or other format, delete it. The sharing of this video is the dissemination of child pornography, a felony, and further victimizes this innocent child.
Regardless of who you’re rooting for this Super Bowl Sunday, we’re rooting for your safety! Please slow down on slick roads, and don’t drink and drive.

As tax season begins, be mindful..The IRS does not solicit payments via telephone. Those demanding and harrassing callers are scammers. When the IRS has determined you owe them money, they will send you a very offical letter. If you do not respond to that letter, they may officially take your money. If you don't have their money...they may take you..
