****Attention**** 1 in custody following a report of a suspicious male in a neighborhood. Following a very short and slow foot chase near the intersection of F Street & 5th Avenue, the suspect was apprehended without incident and relocated to the Mississippi River Landing.

Good evening- we have already received multiple driving complaints (mostly for speeding) for the residential streets around the construction project on South 6th Street. PLEASE follow the designated detour route. If you take the residential streets, please drive carefully and be aware of the pedestrian traffic, kids on bikes, dogs on leash etc. We thank everyone for their patience while MNDOT gets this road project completed. ** Vandalism in the City of Brainerd last night ** We are asking the public's help in identifying those responsible for egging vehicles throughout the City of Brainerd late Thursday night / early Friday morning. The majority of the vehicles damaged were in the College Dr. and Quince St. areas. If you have information regarding who committed this crime, or if you observed any suspicious activities in those areas, please call the Brainerd Police Department at 218-829-2805. We respect and honor those that wish to remain anonymous. We know that the Easter Bunny is active this holiday weekend, however after an extensive interrogation we ruled him out as a suspect.
