West St Paul Police Department News

October is #DVAM. Let's work together to #endDV. #MNSaysNoMore

No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood! Bring your family and friends, we'd love to chat with everyone!

UPDATE: The dogs have not been claimed and will be at the South St. Paul Animal Hospital. FOUND DOGS! These two were found in the 1100 block of Delaware Ave. If they belong to you let us know. 651-322-2323. Mendota Heights Police Department can you share this on your side?

PUPPY UPDATE: The owner was not located, so the pup was taken to the South St. Paul Animal Hospital. FOUND DOG! This cute pup that is good at modeling for us, was found by Goodwill! He is hanging out with us at the police department so stop by or give us a call if he is yours! 651-552-4200.

Our thoughts are with HealthEast Ambulance as they mourn the loss of one of their own.

Join us at lunch today for Talking Tuesday over on twitter from Noon-1:30! Ask us (almost) anything and get a reply. Q's can be about community outreach, our officers, crime, even stuff not about our PD. Since #SouthStPaulPD is not on twitter, we might even take some questions from across the border (or you can write them a letter and mail it in 📬). Have a question about fire? Even members of South Metro Fire will be available! Several people within our department will be answering, so ask away and get to know us! https://twitter.com/WestStPaulPD

Attention little artists of West St. Paul!! Check out the WSP Halloween coloring contest!

Several of our officers are participating in the departments annual fit for duty testing today. The group that tested this morning all did a great job, but were a bit exhausted at the end!

Today, our thoughts and prayers are with the victims in Las Vegas. Our thanks are with the helpers that put their lives on the line. Both of those groups include civilians and police. Together we can heal and overcome.

Let’s all start our week out right with this inspiring story! Thank you Office McCarty and Tania for sharing your story. Also, I’m a little nervous about showing this post to Officer McCarty after reading all your comments. Ladies, it is now Dept policy that no warnings will be given for crimes committed in an attempt to meet Officer McCarty.

October is domestic violence awareness month and we are showing our support all month with purple ribbon license plates, magnets, and pins. Check back throughout the month for more information #domesticviolenceawarenessmonth
