The Sauk Centre Police Department is asking residents to be on the look out for this missing plane. On 1-23-18 at 2129 hours, Sauk Centre Police responded to the Sauk Centre Airport for a report of a missing plane and pilot. Officers responded to the airport and found that the pilot’s car was still at the airport and the plane’s hanger was empty. At this time the Pilot, nor the Airplane, a white fixed wing single engine plane with tail number N-251WT, have been located. The plane was last seen flying around the Sauk Centre airport area. We are asking at this time for the public to check their properties and report any information to the Stearns County dispatch center at 320-251-4240.

The City of Sauk Centre will begin accepting bids Thursday, January 4, 2018 through Friday, January 12, 2018 for one police impound vehicle. To view the ad and place bids, go to the Minnesota Department of Administration website at www.minnbid.org, click on View All Items. Bids are accepted online only. Yesterday afternoon the Sauk Centre Police Department hosted our annual Shop with a Cop event at Walmart. A special thank you to Walmart and Bernick’s Pepsi for making this event possible for 40 children this year! Officers from Melrose, Cold Spring, Belgrade, Stearns County, MN State Patrol and MN DNR participated!

Over the last couple weeks the Sauk Centre Police have been investigating several burglary cases at different businesses in the city. The burglaries happened during the early morning hours of November 1st 2017. Posted below are photos of the suspect. If you have any information regarding the identification of this suspect please contact the police department.

After a thorough investigation Officers identified a juvenile male suspect. He has since admitted to the recent vandalism at the splash pad, city parks and flower pots along Main Street. Criminal charges will be filed with the Stearn's County attorney's office. The Sauk Centre police department would like to thank everyone for their concern and want to remind everyone if they see suspicious activity to please call us.

Last night officers observed extensive damage to the Sinclair Lewis Park, Splash Pad and hanging flower baskets on Main St. If anyone has any information regarding this please contact the police department at 351-7022.

Today was a very sad and tragic day for law enforcement. Our thought and prayers are with the Wayzata Police Department and all the first responders from this afternoons incident.

Cold Spring police need help identifying this male

Ever thought about becoming an EMT? The Sauk Centre Ambulance Service is looking for a Sauk Centre resident who is available specifically during the week days, but must also have availability on weekends and holidays. Candidate would need to be available to attend classes in St Cloud on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning August 22nd and going through December 21st from 8:30am-3:30pm. After passing the class, skills test and National Registry written test, you can earn some extra cash with our service while doing your part to serve your community.
