In the early morning hours FLPD assisted Wyoming Police Department with a traffic stop, the male fled and crashed near the roundabout in Forest Lake, and then fled on foot. The investigation lead officers to believe the male was a convicted and wanted felon. It was believed that the male was still in the Forest Lake area throughout the morning. Several homes and businesses were searched to include Walmart. The male was subsequently observed by officers getting into a vehicle near 12th St SW/Broadway Ave W. Officers attempted to stop that vehicle but the vehicle fled. A short time later the vehicle crashed in Anoka County, where the suspect was apprehended. Officers were assisted by multiple local, state and federal agencies.
