In case anyone missed it, we wanted to remind everyone about this fun and unique event occurring today! HELP US TO SUPPORT THE THIN BLUE LINE AND OFFICER O’CONNOR Being an active firefighter owned business, we understand the stress and real danger that our first responders endure on a daily basis. We always pray that everyone makes it home okay but occasionally that doesn't happen. That’s when our community shows its true colors. We always come together to lift up our brother or sister and give the family support. The Axe House has decided that 50% of all of our sales on Sunday Jan. 14th will go directly to the family of Arnold PO Ryan O’Connor. On this day, we will be open an additional hours from 12pm-9pm. A raffle is being organized if you would like to contribute anything. A 50/50 drawing will also be held to raise extra funds. You do not need to be present to win. No extra discounts will be given on this day as all sales go to support the officer and his family. If you would like to book your party for more time than 1 hour the cost is $20 per person per hour that day. Please call 314-338-6171 to make longer reservations or email us atmake longer reservations or email us at TheAxeHouseSTL@gmail.com. Next Saturday there is another great event supporting Officer O'Connor organized by the folks at Tenbrook Station!

A huge thank you to the volunteers, supporters, and of course donors who made this event such an incredible success! We are so very proud to serve a community that displays such generosity and caring in times of need. On behalf of both ourselves and the O'Connor family, THANK YOU!!

10 years and under FREE. 11 and over $20 at the door. Tons of auction items and raffles!

Here is a brief look at some of the many donated items that will be available tomorrow at the VFW Post in Arnold in support of Officer O'Connor. Raffle items, silent auctions, and much more tomorrow between 2:00 and 10:00 PM!

We received this yesterday after Officer O'Connor was escorted to the airport for his flight to Colorado. Thank you Brandon for creating this video. Job well done! https://youtu.be/r4Xd4wp2kv0

Friends, Of all the posts we've made over the last month, this is by far the best and most important yet. From the O'Connor family: "Today we celebrate a small victory. Officer Ryan O’Connor was airlifted to Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado where he is due to arrive safely this afternoon. Craig Hospital is one of the best in the nation and is where area Officers Flamion, Tudor, and Glasby received incredible rehabilitative care. Ryan’s recovery will be a long journey, but with the skills of the phenomenal staff at Craig, the love of his family, and the support from all of you, we know that we will have many more victories to celebrate together."

Just a reminder, there's a great event coming up Saturday, January the 13th at the Arnold VFW! Great music, food and drinks, and an absolutely HUGE amount of raffle items and silent auction baskets to bid on. Also, for all those asking about shirt and hoodies for sale, a new shipment has arrived and you can make your selection that night! Come out and join us as we support Officer O'Connor and his family!

Painting & Vino is donating $5.00 per attendee to Backstoppers/Officer O'Connor for each of the below events in January!

UPDATE FROM PINOT's PALETTE: "Due to the concerning weather expected today we are postponing our classes for the O'Conner benefit until Next Sunday 1-14-18. Hope everyone stays safe on the roads. Thanks" We wanted to remind everyone of this great (and very unique) event coming up this Sunday! https://www.facebook.com/PinotsPaletteArnold/photos/gm.1476374439144690/1519856584802335/?type=3

Friends! We are absolutely thrilled and elated to post this update on Ryan directly from the O'Connor family! "Ryan has made some small but significant improvements. He is breathing on his own and the ventilator has been removed. He also gave us a great surprise by opening his pretty blue eyes. We are so pleased with the progress he has made in the past week and welcome and appreciate your continued thoughts, prayers and support."

We want to give a special thanks to an Arnold business that made an incredible donation to the O'Connor family. Drury Hotels you went above and beyond today! Thank you for being such a great corporate community partner, we're pround to have you in Arnold!

From our friends at INK St Louis who worked very hard in a short amount of time to produce the Arnold Strong shirts: "INK Saint Louis would like to apologize for the shipping/delivery confusions, our E-commerce site did not factor in the holidays when giving the estimated production and pickup/ship dates. All orders that are being shipped will go out UPS today, and internal pickup orders will be available for pickup on January 10th. Thank you for your patience and again, we apologize for the confusion and inconvenience. The INK Saint Louis family"

We've had several inquiries regarding the current availability of the shirts benefiting Officer O'Connor. Currently the website offering the gray shirts only has 2XL and larger available for ordering. Hoodies are also not available for purchasing online, however there are some 3XL and 4XL available for purchase at the station, along with some regular gray t-shirts of varying sizes. For those inquiring about youth sizes, there are some of the original white t-shirts in youth large also available at the station. We apologize but at this time we are unable to answer questions regarding other specific t-shirt sizes, but if you are near the station please feel free to stop by and see what is available. BUT, we will be posting a reminder very soon about two events coming up which will also have shirts for sale within the week!

Friends, The following is an update from the O'Connor family. Please to continue to carry them in your thoughts and prayers. "Great news! Officer O'Connor remains in critical condition, but many medications are being reduced. He has overcome many hurdles the past three weeks and his fighting spirit continues to shine bright! Efforts to wake him will be forthcoming."

At 11:00 AM today at the Arnold Police Department we drew the winning ticket for the recent gun raffle. Congratulations to Conrad Miner from Fenton, MO! We want to thank everyone for their continued support.

What a great way to spend a Wednesday evening! Thanks Show Me Lanes for hosting this great event tonight!

This Friday there will be a drawing for the lucky winner of the recent gun raffle. The drawing will be at the Arnold Police Department at 11:00 AM, but the winner does not have to be present to win, as notification will be made by phone. As there was an overwhelming amount of interest for the raffle, there are currently no longer any tickets available. Thanks to those who purchased them, and a huge thanks to our friends at Miners Towing, High Ridge Auto Repair, and Doc's Guns and Ammo that helped in the sale of the raffle tickets. Thank you for your support!

Friends, On behalf of the Arnold Police Department, we would like to thank everyone who had stood alongside us this past month. It has undoubtedly been the most trying time in recent memory for the men and women who comprise this department; your department if you live and work within the City of Arnold. Please continue to carry Officer O'Connor in your thoughts and prayers, just as you have since the day that changed both his, as well as his families lives, for the foreseeable future. We have no new update available as his medical status has not changed, but it is our Christmas wish that we are soon able to see our brother talking, laughing, and spending time at home with his family as he did just a month ago. Thank you, and bless everyone who has reached out to help Ryan in any capacity during the last few weeks. You, and the community in which we serve, have truly been incredible.

For those who have placed pick up orders for any of the Arnold Strong line up of hoodies and shirts...THEY ARE IN! You may begin picking them up at the station today (Thursday 12/21) until 4:00 PM and again tomorrow (Friday 12/22) between the hours of 8:00 and Noon. The shirts that were due to be shipped out to those who purchased them will be on their way as well!
