A mix of snow and sleet becoming all snow after 3pm today. the temperature for tonight is forecasted at 16 degrees. Please be safe and check on anyone in your community that may not have heat. Be sure to remember your 4 P's (People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants) and only go out if you have to. This weather will cause hazardous travel conditions.

On Wednesday, January the 3, 2018 Officers from the Ellisville Police Department responded to 607 Cleveland Street for an animal complaint. When officers arrived, they found 3 dogs that were living with out food or water, and only one of the dogs had shelter. The animals showed signs of malnutrition, and one was tangled up in a chain, barely able to move. Tabitha LaToyna Ross 39, of Ellisville, Has been charged with Simple Animal Cruelty. The animals have been removed from the property, and will be cared for until final judgment in this case. The City of Ellisville, and the Ellisville Police Department will in no way condone the mistreatment of animals, and this crime will be punished to the full extent of the law.

We would like to give a big Thank You to French Quarter Grill in Ellisville for hosting a motorcycle ride Toy Drive last weekend for toys for our Drive! also C0OKSEY's tire for helping promote the ride.

We delivered our trailer to CPS today but we will still be taking donations until Friday. We would like to give a big Thank you to Endoms Trailer in Ellisville for allowing us to use their trailer to store the gifts! We would also like to thank Pete Knight from Endoms for coming to pull the trailer for us and helping to unload the toys! We were blessed with so many caring wonderful people helping with this Toy Drive we Thank all of y'all it would not have been possible without y'all!

We have the wish lists of the 102 Jones County Foster Children, and anyone that would like to sponsor a child for Christmas should come by the Ellisville Police Department to pick up a Child’s Wish List. We are also taking toy donations. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to the Ellisville Police Department. We will end the drive on December 15, so that we will have time to get the gifts to the children. Ellisville Police Department is asking for help locating a missing/runaway juvenile. Charity Percy (Black/Female, 15 years of age, 5-00, 115 pounds) has not been home in approximately two weeks. Public Awareness: Due to concerns and calls about a Facebook post last night, there was a motivational speaker on the JCJC Campus Speaking a positive message to the students that had nothing to do with racism, hate, or bigotry.

Any bail money can go through City Hall or Tractor Supply tomorrow! Come out and support this great cause!

Happy Halloween everyone! Trick or Treating will start at 4 p.m. for the City and last until 8 p.m.. Treats in the Street at JCJC will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.! Please be safe and have a great night enjoying this with your children!

We are so proud of Officer Wanda Thrash she graduated today from the Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy. We can't wait for you to be back at work.

Saturday is JCJC Homecoming come out and support our Bobcats. Parade is at 10am and the game is at 2pm. Go Bobcats!!

On Thursday, September 28, 2017 LaTasha Marie Howard, 29, of Laurel, was Arrested, and charged with Petit Larceny. Ms. Howard was found to be stealing food from her employer, an assisted living home in Ellisville. Ms. Howard has been charged with Petit Larceny, and has been set a Court Date in October to answer for her crime.
