Drivers involved in minor motor vehicle collisions are encouraged to contact 911. If damage is minor and no one is injured drivers may swap information and complete a report at a later time. As always officers will respond if requested.

From Chief Aguirre: Road conditions continue to be slick so please use caution and only drive if necessary. Tupelo Officers are working as usual however citizens can expect longer police response times due to the slick streets. TPD Records Offices will be closed the remainder of the day due to weather.

Thanks to Alliance Collection for the cupcakes. What a great treat for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

Believe it or not the days are getting longer but it still gets dark early so here are some tips for those walking and jogging. Always wear reflective clothes. Keep a cell phone with you. Be aware of your surroundings. Stick to well-lit streets and sidewalks. Let friends or family know your route and plans. Have a workout buddy exercise with you. If you see something suspicious notify 911 immediately. Have fun and be safe. Of course these tips are also good for the long days of summer!

Officer Williams, Officer Miller and Sgt. Wilkerson were awarded the Tupelo Fire Department's Life Saver Award as well as the TPD Chief's Commendation for their life saving actions at a recent structure fire.

So very proud of longtime PAL participant Jett Johnson on signing his official LOI to be a Mississippi State Bulldog!!! You make PAL proud young man!!!

Thank you to kids from Mooreville Elementary for dropping off the goodie bags.

Blessed Are The Peacemakers.
