Roads are extremely slick right now. We have taken several reports for vehicles crashes in the last hour. Stay off the roads if at all possible. If you must be out, take your time and don't tailgate!

If you see threatening social media posts, report them; don't share them! Sharing posts creates problems for everyone, including law enforcement investigators.

We are asking parents to talk with their children about using social media in a responsible way. It is important to report, NOT forward, posts that threaten or convey unlawful behavior. Forwarding these posts does more harm and hinders our ability to investigate promptly.

Garner PD investigated a non- specific and vague social media threat this afternoon. The SM post originated from someone outside Wake County and was not School or location specific. After a thorough investigation, GPD notified the proper jurisdiction.
