Request for Public Assistance Raleigh police detectives are trying to identify a man and woman who stole a victim's credit card from Rex Hospital on September 5, 2017. The suspects then used the card at 14 different locations to include Raleigh, Knightdale, Henderson and Clayton. If you recognize either of these two suspects, please call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP (4357).

Request for Public Assistance At approximately 5:45 p.m. on September 2, RPD officers responded to the intersection of Brier Creek Parkway and Brier Leaf Lane where a 17-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as he was attempting to cross at the intersection. The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene after the collision. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a late 1990s to early 2000s Honda Accord, possibly gold or silver in color. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information that might assist investigating officers is asked to call RPD at 919-996-2300.

Officer Taylor found this strange character at the Oakwood Community event this Halloween. Actually, it’s Mr. Jesse Jones who assisted with the event and owns the decorated home at Oakwood & East. Every year Mr. Jones gives away free candy to thousands of visitors who come to see his amazing home.

Raleigh Police Capt. Murr and members from Faith Baptist Church, Knightdale NC recently took a trip to Carolina, Puerto Rico. The group visited the area to work at a school and church to help demolish a building and repair facilities which had been damaged by the recent storm. Capt. Murr states, “It was difficult work, but yet a rewarding experience”. Murr got the opportunity to visit the Carolina Municipal Police Station and offer words of encouragement and prayer.

Raleigh police detectives are trying to identify a man and woman who stole several credit cards from a victim at the Panera Bread in Brier Creek on September 28, 2017. The suspects immediately went to the Best Buy in Brier Creek where they purchased several thousand dollars’ worth of computer merchandise. They also attempted to make another purchase at Target. RPD investigating motorcycle fatality on Wade Avenue. All lanes of traffic between Oberlin Rd. and Daniels St. blocked. Motorist traveling eastbound can take Oberlin to Craig St. to St. Mary’s St. back to Oberlin. Westbound traffic can take St. Mary’s to Craig St. to Oberlin, or take Daniels St. to Smallwood Dr. to Oberlin.
