On February 17, the RPD Foundation basketball team hit the hardwood and scored 70 points to defeat the Rolesville PD in Law Enforcement United (LEU) basketball fundraiser to benefit the annual Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) Kids Camp. It was an evening of fun, camaraderie, and just a bit of smack talk as the RPD team showed their hoop skills with lay-ups, rebounds, long passes, and assists. But what showed most was the commitment of our officers on the court, and those in the cheering section, as they put in work for a great cause. The event was hosted by Team Duke, composed of officers from the Duke University Campus Police Department, which played against the Holly Springs Police Department. Allied Barton Security played against the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
