Please be advised that starting Wednesday Nov. 8th thru Friday Nov. 10th that Downer Avenue in Mantoloking will be closed. There will be NO THRU TRAFFIC. If you must get to the Post Office or Fire House please access Downer Avenue from Route 35. You may park in the municipal lot during this time. Sorry for any inconveniences.

NJ TRANSIT values your partnership and wants to keep you informed of service impacts that may affect your constituents as Amtrak continues maintenance and other work on its Northeast Corridor (NEC). Amtrak will be performing extensive signal work on the Northeast Corridor that will impact service on three NJ TRANSIT commuter rail lines beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, November 10th and continuing through the end of service on Sunday, November 12th. Customers traveling on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) and North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL) during this period may experience delays of 30-60 minutes in both directions. During this same time period, customers on the Raritan Valley Line (RVL) will have substitute busing in place to/from Newark Penn Station as indicated below: · Friday night 11/10, from 9 p.m. through the end of the service day - busing will be in place in both directions between Cranford and Newark Penn Station. · Saturday 11/11 and Sunday 11/12 - busing will be in place all day in both directions between Union and Newark Penn Station. Customers on these three rail lines (NEC, NJCL, and RVL) are advised to allow extra time for travel to and from their destinations. Customers should also pay close attention to station and crew announcements. NJ TRANSIT has been assured by Amtrak that the work will be completed prior to the start of the Monday morning rush hour on November 13th. Important Note: M&E and Midtown Direct service will NOT be impacted by this Amtrak signal work.

The Bay Head 5K Shark Run will be tomorrow at 8:30 am expect delays and possible traffic pattern changes, up to approximately 10:30 am. Ocean County Health Department is offering Flu and Pneumonia vaccinations at the Bay Head Fire Department from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

To all residents and visitors, please move cars if you will be parked in flood prone areas. We are looking at Ocean and back bay flooding, the effects from Hurricane will bring 45 mph winds and flooding starting some time after midnight!

Just a reminder to all, please do not donate to organizations over the telephone. The Police Department has had several complaints over the last few weeks of scams going on. The IRS does not call you for money and there will not be an arrest warrant sent to you.

The Railroad crossing on Route 35 and Sea Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach will be closed until Saturday 4/29/17, Route 35 Northbound traffic will be detoured Main/Bridge Avenue and Bridge and Bay Avenue.

The Railroad crossing on Route 35 and Sea Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach will be closed from 4/20/17-4/27-17 Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and Saturday and Sunday 4/22-4/23/17 from 7 am-5pm. Route 35 Northbound traffic will be detoured Main/Bridge Avenue and Bridge and Bay Avenue.

OPERATION TAKE BACK NJ April 29, 2017 10 am-2pm Bay Head Police Dept., 83 Bridge Avenue, Bay Head All individuals may dispose of medication either in its original container or by removing medication from its container and disposing it directly into the drug disposal box. If the original container is submitted, the individual should remove the prescription label from the container.
