Boo! It was a spooktacular Halloween night, with record-breaking crowds at Downtown Summerlin, where our officers and volunteers helped host Treat Street. We saw some amazing costumes and lots of very cool kids. Happy Halloween from LVMPD!

Treat Street! LVMPD's Spring Valley Area Command is partnering with Downtown Summerlin to host a safe and spooky block party on Halloween night. Join us on Tuesday, October 31st from 5PM to 7PM on Park Center Drive in the Downtown Summerlin shopping mall to see police cars, meet officers, and grab some candy!

Well-Dressed Armed Robber! LVMPD detectives are seeking to identify this suit & tie wearing suspect. On October 25th, at approximately 5 pm, he used a crowbar to threaten workers at a cell phone store in the 3900 block of E Sunset Road, making off with an undisclosed amount of money. Armed Robbers! LVMPD detectives are seeking to identify the two armed robbery suspects seen in these surveillance images. A CASH REWARD is possible for tips processed through the Crime Stoppers hotline. Crime Stoppers of Nevada, Inc. Here are the details on the case, and what to do if you can identify the suspects: On October 23, 2017 at approximately 11:00 a.m. patrol officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of S. Maryland Parkway to investigate an armed robbery. The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Robbery Section indicates the suspects arrived on foot. They entered the business where they violently pushed various customers to the ground. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at customers in order to force them into compliance. The suspects left with the customer’s personal items and an unknown amount of money from the register. Suspect #1 is described as black male adult wearing a black jacket with gray sleeves, black pants and a black doo rag. Suspect #2 is described as a black male adult wearing a black shirt, gray shorts, black beanie, white shoes and armed with a handgun. Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact the LVMPD Robbery Section by phone at 702-828-3591. Commendation Ceremony! Congratulations to the numerous LVMPD officers and support personnel who were recognized today for their special efforts solving crimes and saving lives. Incidents included the foiling of an assassination plot during last year's presidential campaign and the capture of a serial attacker by using a crash-test dummy. Police work is a team effort, and we salute all of today's award recipients!

NEW VIDEO: Media Briefing on Officer Involved Shooting Incident. Today, Asst. Sheriff Tim Kelly provided details on last Wednesday night's incident in which a domestic violence suspect pointed a gun at an officer and yelled "die". The subject suffered non-fatal injuries when the officer fired at the suspect.
