Batavia PD Crime Prevention Tip! Given the temperatures of this week and the weekend ahead we would like to remind residents of the risk of warming up your car. Leaving your keys in the vehicle unattended is providing a easier opportunity for auto theft. All it takes is a split second for a crime to take place! Consider sitting in the car while it warms or make sure to keep your vehicle in view.

Batavia PD and the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard Leading the 2017 Veterans Day Parade! Thank you to all who have served our Great Nation!

Tomorrow November 11,2017 at 2pm is the Veteran’s Day Parade on Main St. Come out and show support for those who have served our Great Country! Main St will be closed for the duration of the parade.

*****update*******update**********update**** As of 4a this morning the tree has been cleared and the road is reopened to traffic. *****update********update**********update*** Foundry Ave (SR 132) Near Main St is currently shut down for a large tree in the roadway until road crews can clear the road.

Batavia Village Trick or Treat is happening October 31, 2017 from 6p to 8p. We hope everyone enjoys their Halloween! We ask that motorists please use caution on village streets and be alert for those trick or treaters! Also stop and see our officers as we will be handing out candy as well.

A message from the Chief of Police On 10/10/2017 Batavia PD officers made contact with a suspicious vehicle. During their interaction with the occupants criminal indicators were observed. The Batavia PD K-9 Unit conducted a walk around of the vehicle and a alert was received. A probable cause search resulted in the seizure of 19grams of methamphetamine. Congrats to our officers on a job well done! Batavia PD is committed to getting these harmful drugs off our streets.
