Just a reminder to the citizens of Galion, with the nice weather (hopefully) approaching, more and more people will be out at night. Our department has already taken a number of reports of vehicles that have been entered by thieves. To help protect yourselves, try not to leave valuable items in your vehicles over night. Also try to park your vehicle in a well lit area and make sure they are locked. If you notice street lights out in the city, contact the Line Department at 419-468-5520 during regular business hours with the exact location and pole number (if possible) to have them repaired. Thank You and Stay Safe!!

UPDATE....... Upon investigation, we have learned that the company selling the ads for the School District (book covers) is a legitimate company. Any questions regarding these ads should be directed to Galion City School District. Attn All Galion Businesses There are two scams going around in regards to Ralphies Sports Eatery in Galion as well as Galion City Schools. Neither the School District or Ralphies are behind the scam however their businesses are being misrepresented as being a part of an advertisement ploy for local businesses where cash or checks are being given in return for advertisement. We have been in contact with the management of both Ralphies and the school and they have verified that these advertisement ploys have never been approved. If you feel your business has been a victim of any scams related to these incidents, please contact Officer Patton at Galion Police Department (419) 468-9111. If anyone comes to your business in regards to anything related to these incidents, please contact the business in which the advertising is being done by to verify that it is a valid transaction or contact the Galion Police Department.

Bucyrus PD is attempting to identify these people.
