On Saturday one of our officers was completing a traffic stop on the side of the road with their emergency lights on and were struck from behind by a drunk driver. Thankfully no one was seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the vehicle , 26 year old Arturo Natividad Cruz, of Dublin, was arrested for OVI, failure to have a drivers license, and other traffic violations. Mr. Cruz pled guilty in Delaware County Municipal Court and was sentenced to pay a fine, 30 days in jail, and 1 year probation. Please remember to move over and slow down when passing emergency vehicles!
