October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and to help Alternatives to Violence Love Dove program and spread awareness, our dispatchers are participating by creating a poster board. They are very creative and have made a beautiful board with lots of information. They did an awesome job!! The week of Monday, October 9th – Sunday, October 15th, 2017, the Hillsboro Police Department received 398 calls, 7 - 911 transfers, took 8 offense reports, investigated 11 crashes, made 13 arrests and completed 123 residential/business security checks.

The Hillsboro Police Department has taken several reports of "for motion picture use only" money that has been used at several businesses in Hillsboro. Please be advised that this money is not real. NO STREET PARKING NOTICE NORTH AND SOUTH HIGH STREET. Beginning August 6, 2017 there will be no street parking due to the resurfacing and repaving of High Street from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am. Cox Paving has been contracted to resurface/pave US Route 62 through Hillsboro (North and South High Street.) Paving is scheduled to last approximately 30 days. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.
